A Royal Lake Resort property will provide quality of life much more desirable than typical cottage ownership. The most significant concerns of time spent travelling, and time and effort maintaining a cottage need no longer be a deterrent to cottage ownership. 

Royal Lake is conveniently located one and a half hours east of Winnipeg on Hwy #1, about 23 kms from Falcon Lake between Falcon Lake, West Hawk Lake and the Lake of the Woods recreation areas. It is just 20 minutes from Falcon Lake Golf Course which is ranked 30th in the Top 100 golf courses in Canada by Score Magazine. Additional golf amenities are within 30 minutes to the Kenora Golf and Country Club and Beauty Bay Golf Course on Black Sturgeon Lake.

The City of Kenora offers shopping and related amenities (ie. Canada Safeway, Wholesale Foods, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, McDiarmid Lumber) and various other local speciality retailers. As well the Kenora and District Hospital providing 24 hour medical care for our region.

Simple and Carefree Cottage Ownership

At Royal Lake resort owners can avoid concern with lawn care, snow removal, garbage disposal and other such maintenance issues, because their annual fee will take care of these issues for them. Attending one’s own cottage will be  going to a resort and feeling at home simultaneously. Time spent working can now be spent relaxing — as it should be at the cottage.

An annual fee will be paid to the Corporation to maintain the property including: all exterior landscaping and maintenance, snow removal, grass cutting, garbage removal, upkeep of the docking slips and beach area and an allowance for a reserve fund. Each cottage will be provided with potable water and sewer services delivered by way of common supply owned by the Corporation. The property will be sold and managed in a corporate scenario almost identical to a condominium corporation. A detailed and comprehensive shareholders agreement and by-laws outlining all ownership guidelines and governance is available.
